- Clinical Professor, Open-Rank (50% - 80% effort)
Description
Salary Range: $300,000 to $600,000 for a .8 FTE, dependent on effort, specialty, and experience.
The University of Chicago’s Department of Anesthesia and Critical Care is searching for part-time clinical academic anesthesiologists from 50% - 80% effort for appointment at the rank of Clinical Assistant Professor, Clinical Associate Professor, or Clinical Professor. Clinical responsibilities will include providing perioperative care in operating room and non-operating room environments. Covered locations include the University of Chicago Medical Center main campus in Hyde Park, and possibly system network sites including Ingalls Memorial Hospital, our location in Crown Point Indiana, and other sites to be added in the future. Other duties include teaching and supervision of fellows, residents, and medical students. Scholarly activity is not required but is supported. Academic rank, track, and compensation are dependent upon qualifications. These positions are benefits-eligible. Clinical Academics will have access to the University of Chicago and the Department of Anesthesia & Critical Care resources, including but not limited to, educational conferences and CME activities as the clinical schedule allows.
Requirements
Prior to the start of employment, qualified applicants must: 1) have a medical doctorate or equivalent, 2) hold or be eligible for medical licensure in the State of Illinois and/or Indiana, and 3) be Board certified or Board eligible in anesthesiology.
