OCHSNER HEALTH SYSTEM in NEW ORLEANS is searching for a BC/BEANESTHESIOLOGIST, FELLOWSHIP TRAINED INCRITICALCARE. The position includes approximately 20% of clinical time practicing Critical Care Medicine with the balance as a general operative Anesthesiology practice. The Ochsner Surgical ICU employs an interprofessional care model covering 33 beds with a mix of patients from a variety of surgical disciplines including Abdominal Transplantation, General Surgery, Vascular Surgery, Cardiothoracic Surgery (including patients on mechanical circulatory support LVAD, ECMO, etc.), Orthopedics and Trauma.
Experienced physicians and those directly from fellowship are welcomed to apply. Salary will commensurate with training and experience.
Qualified candidates will have a strong interest in academics and research. We are a teaching program, with fully accredited Anesthesiology residency and Critical Care fellowship programs. The Department of Anesthesiology includes 70 anesthesiologists, 100 CRNA’s, and >45 house staff, with an annual case volume of >52,000.
