Advanced Practice Registered Nurses / Physician Assistants
We are seeking a Director of CRNA Clinical Operations who will be responsible for managing the clinical and administrative activities of our CRNA’s. This position will be full time, of which .8 FTE will be administrative and .2 FTE clinical.
Job Responsibilities include:
Act as liaison between facilities, CRNAs, site leaders and AAPA corporate leadership.
Work with CFO and CRNA Manager to provide staffing information to complete the annual CRNA budget.
Work with CRNA Manager, and Quality Director to provide ongoing readiness for Joint Commission, CMS, and Department of Health surveys.
Work with HR Director to oversee and implement the employee review process.
Oversee student coordinators and maintain the SRNA program.
Work with CRNA Manager to coordinate daily staffing and payroll needs.
Supervise CRNA site leaders and CRNA Manager.
Work with HR Director to ensure adequate CRNA staffing through effective recruitment, interview and hiring processes.
Oversee the onboarding and exit of CRNA staff. Work with HR Director to maintain these processes.
Work with Clinical Systems Department to develop and implement ongoing education activities including late start day presentations, annual mandatory education and special education projects.
Work with Clinical Systems Department to develop and maintain a system for individual CRNA quality information collection.
Work with ACLS/PALS/BLS instructors to coordinate classes.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Demonstrated leadership, verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills.
Commitment to active participation in shared accountability and decision making for the continuous improvement of nurse anesthesia practice.
Additional certification and continuing education as needed to maintain proficiency in current nurse anesthesia practice.
Knowledge in changing and current issues and techniques in anesthesia.
Knowledge and skill in the use of computers and electronic medical record
Education and Experience:
Minnesota licensure as an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse.
Graduation from a program of nurse anesthesia education accredited by the Council on Accreditation of Nurse Anesthesia Educational Programs or its predecessor.
Certification by National Board of Certification and Recertification for Nurse Anesthetists.
Current ACLS, BCLS, certification (PALS certification desirable).
2 years of previous experience managing clinical operations within a healthcare system prefered.
