Leadership Opportunities in Anesthesiology
The Department of Anesthesiology at Wake Forest University School of Medicine and Atrium Health Wake Forest Baptist Hospital is seeking dynamic and visionary leaders for the positions below. The department enjoys a strong national and international reputation and is a consistently sought after clinical trials site across a range of subspecialties. In addition, the faculty includes several exceptionally well-funded individuals with a strong track record of scholarship that has impacted the practice of anesthesiology, critical care and pain medicine.
Positions Available
Vice Chair of Research
- Lead strategic faculty recruitment & retention in basic, clinical, and translational research
- Build a pipeline of independently funded investigators
- Manage a team of 15-20 research professionals
Vice Chair of Community & Belonging
- Oversee URM mentoring & clinical shadowing
- Coordinate recruitment and community-building events for the department
Qualifications
- M.D., Ph.D., or equivalent advanced degree currently at the rank of associate professor or professor.
- Board eligible or board certified in Anesthesiology or allied field.
- Eligibility for licensure in the state of North Carolina.
- A proven track record of research leadership and securing extramural funding in an academic health system.
- Experience in mentoring and developing research faculty and trainees.
- Strong collaborative skills and the ability to work effectively with a diverse range of stakeholders.
