The Department of Anesthesiology at the University of Wisconsin - Madison has an openings for a cardiac anesthesiologist as Assistant Professor (CHS) or Associate Professor (CHS) or Clinical Assistant Professor or Clinical Associate Professor.
Major teaching responsibilities for residents and medical students in the operating room, and didactic sessions. Primary emphasis of teaching will be in the cardiac anesthesia patient care area. Provision of clinical anesthetic care will be primarily, but not exclusively, for cardiac surgical patients (i.e. working in the operating room, plus evening and weekend call) in an anesthesia team model or personally performed anesthesia. Opportunity for participation or to lead clinical research for interested and qualified candidates.
Wisconsin Medical license as MD or DO. Completion of anesthesiology residency program, and certified or eligible for certification by the American Board of Anesthesiology. Completion of subspecialty fellowship training in cardiac anesthesia.
For appointment at the Associate Professor level, candidate must have sufficient documented academic work to meet appointment requirements to these levels within requested time period per UW School of Medicine and Public Health guidelines for appointment or promotion.
