Sheridan Healthcare, a physician-led and managed national multispecialty practice management organization, has retained Cejka Executive Search to assist in identifying a progressive physician executive to serve in a newly created leadership position. The Vice President, Clinical Operations - Central Region will provide clinical and business leadership for the management of existing business services and contractual arrangements within Sheridan’s Central Region (Texas, Oklahoma, Missouri and Kansas). The Vice President will also be responsible for leading the identification, expansion and development of new client contracts and clinical relationships. Sheridan’s headquarters are in Fort Lauderdale, Florida; this position will reside in Dallas, Texas.

The Vice President, Clinical Operations - Central Region will provide the executive clinical and business line leadership, direction, decision-making and oversight for clinical operations of predominately anesthesia services for a portfolio consisting of 30 contracts and almost 250 providers. As a critical leader in driving business growth, the Vice President will have accountability for clinical management, strategic planning, budget attainment and client engagement. Providing oversight to the Regional Medical Directors and facility clinical leaders, the Vice President will monitor and implement strategies to improve productivity and efficiency metrics, clinical quality outcomes, and financial goals. The Vice President will leverage existing market relationships to identify and facilitate the growth of clinical services and programs with existing and new clients and lead efforts for expanding Sheridan’s market share.
Successful candidates for this position will be recognized physician executives with demonstrated success in clinical operations, business and financial management, and strategic planning. Experience in building and growing high performing anesthesia services within a multi-hospital system, large academic medical center or complex health care organization is required. Board certification in anesthesia is required; an advanced degree is desirable. Travel throughout the region will be required.
