The Department of Cardiothoracic Surgery at Englewood Hospital and Medical Center seeks an experienced BC/BE cardiothoracic surgeon to join its team in a rapidly growing surgical practice. The practice encompasses all phases of adult cardiac and thoracic surgery including primary and redo revascularizations; complex valve reconstruction/replacement (including TAVI); open and endovascular aortic surgeries; minimally invasive pulmonary and thoracic resections as well as other general thoracic procedures. Experience with TEVAR and assist devices (LVAD, RVAD, BIVAD, ECMO) is helpful but not required. The practice is currently primarily cardiac, expected to perform approximately 420 cardiac surgical cases this year. Opportunity for academic affiliation with appointment and student/resident education is being developed.
M.D. degree; completed an accredited internship and residency
Board Certified or Board Eligible in Cardiothoracic Surgery
Completion of Fellowship in Cardiothoracic Surgery
Currently holds, or has the ability to obtain licensure as per State requirements and medical staff bylaws

The practice is based within Englewood Hospital, a modern and expanding 325 bed facility with 2 dedicated cardiac ORs and 1 hybrid room; additional ORs are available for general thoracic cases. All cases are managed by 5 dedicated cardiac anesthesiologists. Two dedicated PAs provide OR assistance and 5 full time PAs and NPs provide 24 hour in-house floor and ICU coverage. The department has a 6 bed dedicated ICU with weekday intensivist management, a combined medical/surgical ICU for spillover use (a new combined 26 bed ICU is planned) and a dedicated pre- and single-room post-op floor for cardiac patients. Patient referrals come from but are not limited to, 335 providers in the MD Partner Network which spans across 6 counties in NY & NJ with over 80 locations.
