The Lewis Katz School of Medicine at Temple University is currently seeking general anesthesiologists with subspecialty training in critical care for full-time faculty positions within the Temple Health System.
The anesthesiology department delivers care to patients in a variety of locations throughout the healthcare system including Temple University Hospital, Fox Chase Cancer Center and Jeanes Hospital.
Our critical care service is expanding and we participate in a multidisciplinary system-wide system of ICUs staffed by anesthesiologists, pulmonologists, and surgeons all with critical care subspecialty training. Twenty-four hour a day on-site staffing is provided for six intensive care units across three campuses and involving the complete spectrum of surgical and medical diseases.
Duties of new faculty include patient care, teaching of medical students and residents, and supervision of CRNAs. Opportunities for scholarly effort and clinical research are available and participation in the academic mission of the department is required. Rank is commensurate with experience.
Candidate Qualifications • An M.D., D.O. with active board certification in Anesthesiology. Board Eligible candidates are also welcome to apply. • Successful completion of an accredited fellowship in Critical Care • Possess credentials for a faculty appointment at the minimum rank of Assistant Professor. • Ability to obtain medical licensure in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. • Demonstrate sensitivity to the culture, needs, and aspirations of the community.
